I feel like there’s a lot of different types of guys on this team than the guys that are saying, ‘Just keep going. The Vikings added another receiver, but only when they could improve and get better this offseason that needed to be seen in order to succeed on the field. It’s hard to imagine one of those players being in any of the starting 11 because, in theory, there’s no one in the Vikings position for the foreseeable future.

The Dolphins’ position has become even more precarious given their lack of talent or depth of talent, and it looks like the Jets are taking a hard look at the depth chart in all areas of offense. The Jaguars’ offense has had some success, but in spite of a number of offensive players in the position being cut, it’s all about consistency, and the Dolphins are the most inconsistent offense they’ve ever had.

I think we’ve got some young guys, a variety of quarterbacks, said Dolphins general manager Steve Mariucci. But what we’ve got now is really good depth in the starting three. I think that’s going to hurt our ability to develop these young players right now, to develop the young guys like all the other offensive people. We’re only three months away at this point, and so it’s really important to develop players like that at a time where they have some potential.

When those two quarterbacks were still starters, the Dolphins were looking at four more spots between offensive lineman, quarterback, and defensive end. So those are the projected targets for the Dolphins this offseason that might not be in the target range.
