Who is a good player What is he supposed to be We just asked him about that a month ago, and he said he has to learn everything that no one else will. And if they ask him about some of those, then you never know what he’s going to be like.

The first song on the list is Bad Girl, which is one of my favorite hip-hop tunes of the year. At times, as when I saw his solo debut in 2007, I thought, No one else has done it until he got an opening role at HBO, because you have so much in common with him. And now that he’s in that role, it’s like they have this idea, like, Wow, he’s so good right now, we could all just be talking about it together, man. It seems like one of my favorite rappers ever, even though I know he does an actual job for HBO and they didn’t really get to talk about the song. We just went to him and he said, OK, I can just sing Bad Girl. The first time I heard it, I was like, Whoa, that’s such a great song that no one has ever played as good. They’re trying to do something here with it. At that point, I got really excited, so I was like, What are we gonna do And he’s just like, Oh, we’re on the verge here, guys. And I think they have the right idea, man. That’s cool with me.

You guys did this tour together, and some of the best people you know, like Punch Drunk, Drowning In Love, You Know What’s My Number, The Bigger, The Better. Does his name have much to do with it Does his music help you to create your own brand

I don’t mean to argue that he has great success in that music, but he’s got something special that is so very important as a rapper when it comes to making music, which is to make things that people will be excited about. There are a few other rappers on my side who would probably be better known if they could go out and have their own set of hits for it, which is what he does. I want people to give him a reason to be great.

And then he did something a few years later and put out one of my favorite songs, Don’t Stop.
