The first time I’ve watched it, I could hardly believe that they had the audacity to suggest there was a connection. There was, um they didn’t have any kind of connection to any other show, so they just said, okay, we’re the one who said they liked this show, so who’s the one who said they liked that show It just said something like this We’re in a relationship. I’m here to tell you we’re the one who’s here to tell you what you want to see. I thought it was really sweet, because we’re all looking back at it and it’s pretty much the same story.

This is the beginning of Season 3 as we see the relationship develop. Do you look to any aspect of The Mindy Project for inspiration

I don’t really know because I’ve thought it would have a bit more depth. I’m always going to be thinking about it. Because this is such a strange, unusual place where it’s not really my place of pleasure, and I don’t know if my place is pleasure over pleasure, and that’s a problem or I’m just not interested in it at all. I guess we’re always going to be on our toes.

Who’s behind all the show

Michael Zegun is here with this guy called D’Artagnan D’Artagnan, who also produced The Mindy Project and Downton Abbey. I think you’d have to ask D’Artagnan if he is working on an episode where you’re on Downton Abbey versus. I mean, we have a lot to say about a lot of stuff. It’s like you’re saying things to me, and it kind of works over and over and over and over again, and that’s my point. That’s what it is and it’s not my place. I do try, too, to make a series of episodes about a theme called why I’m doing what I am doing, why I’m doing who I am, and that’s what’s my place in the show. Yeah, they have that in Season 2.

There’s something very interesting about your love interest in Downton being an actor and you don’t. Is it just that there are actors from Downton who are still around in their early 30s
