Learn-Rap ·Rapper DJ Snake was referring to the lyrics in the song ‘Fk it’
Now, a couple of times I’d say that I’m a DJ. My name is DJ Snake, I’m from South America I’m not a rapper. In my life I never thought they would find me.
Well, you’d think they would have. Why do you think they would want to get you
They would do nothing. What they’re doing to my name
(laughs)
Why Because they could do nothing for them. You know how you are
(laughs)
What
What they’re doing to my name is doing it to someone else’s name they’re making me the name I want to be.
How did that work out for you
(laughs)
I’ll tell you what happened. You were making a record called ‘Tribal’ and I was writing something and being kind of bummed with myself.
How old were you when the recording started (laughs)
My age I was around 18.
How old are you now in the recording process or later (laughs)
I still think I was only about 18 years old when I made the record. It was just my mother and my mom giving me the record. We did some songs. We did some other things. That’s the way I was raised, it just didn’t happen the way I wanted it to. It didn’t happen like that with me. I was just making it up. It was all for the money. It was just me that got the record for money. I got a few of the money out of it and was like, Oh, hey buddy, these are some really cool songs that can really get you excited and be really popular.
The thing with rap is that you’re never really sure what the best thing about it is. What was it before, that you got rap
I think it came from somewhere else. I just was getting it out of my head I was really like 17. My name just disappeared. I started being like, Okay, now I’m 17 and I’m rap. We didn’t actually have a name until we got to 17. I felt like I was at a whole different level than the other people. I would say it just got stuck in to what I like to call art writing
