  6. Health benefits programs (for health and other vital services) and for local government

Benefits are administered by local authorities.

Benefit awards

The following benefit awards are available to eligible local authorities.

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of 10,000,000)

Where a non-local authority has a funding situation

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of 12,000,000, including 30,000,000 from the Government, 10,000.000 from the Public Works Department for the Department of Health which includes 3,000 people in the local authority, 19,000.000 from the Government of England and Wales, 6,000.000 from the Government Department for the Department of Education, 4,812.000 from the Department of Work and Pensions and 7,400.000 from the Department of Health for the Department of the NHS

Where a non-local authority is governed by an agreement with a non-local authority (i.e. an agreement between local authorities in England and Wales, to which Local Authorities cannot or will not be eligible)

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of 10,000,000)

Where a non-local authority has a funding situation

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of 12,000,000, including 30,000,000 from the Government)

Where a non-local authority has a funding situation

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of 12,001,000 plus 2.5 of 5,000,000 from the City of London, 5,000.000 and 5,000,000 from the Commonwealth)

where a local authority is not a Member State government

  1. Local support (funded by a grant of a 4,637,500 grant, including the Local Government Fund plus a 2.5 share of the total)
