The city of Seattle has taken two new parks into public view as it is getting ready to host the Olympics for the 2020 World Cup. There are already plans to bring the two new locations to downtown Seattle via bike and footpath in 2016 and in 2017. The Seattle Parks and Recreation Board is set to vote on those parks on Oct. 2 at City Hall. The four parks include Grand Junction Trailside Park, Century City Park, and Washington Monument Road. All four parks are located in the city’s urban core, and the Seattle Parks and Recreation Board will meet in September to approve the parks, as well as the new public access parking.
