How Do I Get A Home Improvement Grant - Free Government Money For Individuals

The Home Office’s Financial Advice (FAT) and Housing Benefit Advisory Committee have recommended on-line home improvement support (HARD) and home improvement schemes including, but not limited to, the following 1. Home development.

  1. Designation of land to be devoted entirely to a home.

  2. Designation of a new or restored home as designated for the purposes for which a grant was made.

  3. Protection of property.

  4. Protection of persons other than beneficiaries of grant orders.

Note This does not include individuals, companies or government contracts who have agreed to the scheme and are required to provide the property for development.

What will I need to do to apply for a grant

It is not always clear which forms of assistance to apply from. All we can tell you is that grants (including any grants) are required to be administered and implemented by HMRC. Please consult the Guide to HMRC’s guidance to the taxpayer relating to aid in completing grant requests.

What is an HARD or HELM

HSI is a new housing assistance scheme and provides services in the areas of, to, and around homes.

When will I get a home mortgage

The grant may be a Home Improvement Grant - Direct Loan (HARD) and a Home Improvement Scheme Grant (HI-G)

In the case of the Home Improvement Grant - Direct Loan, the government grant will be payable on the first day in time with the grant date and will be applied on the following day. If it is a Home Improvement Loan (HI-G) on or after 14 December 2016 we will apply a loan to a local authority to finance the building of a house of residence (including all the housing support).

If it is a Home Improvement Scheme Grant - HI-G, or if more than one Home Improvement Scheme Grant has been awarded to a local authority
